RadarStudio Contribution Terms
Version 2026-10-11.1
Christopher Kalkowski personally operates the RadarStudio contribution program from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Contributions and the rights granted below are provided to Christopher Kalkowski. “We,” “us” and “our” refer to him.
Voluntary sharing
Contributing is optional and sharing is off by default. You can use the local viewer without contributing. Preparing a preview does not upload it. A contribution requires a deliberate submission after you review the data, these terms and the separate processing consents. If the interface says submissions are unavailable, no submission can be made through that interface.
Your authority
You must have legal authority to agree to these terms and to submit the recording for the disclosed uses. You must hold the rights you grant and obtain any required permissions from people represented in the recording, including any legally required representative. Do not submit material that violates another person's rights, confidentiality, or an employer or research agreement. Uploading someone else's recording does not itself give you authority over their information.
Rights you grant
You retain any intellectual-property rights you own in your contribution. To the extent you have authority to grant them, you grant Christopher Kalkowski a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to copy, store, modify, analyze, combine, display, distribute, publish and create derivative works from the contribution. This includes commercial products and services, research, dataset development, and training, testing and evaluating machine-learning models. It includes lawful licensing and redistribution of contributions, datasets and derived materials to others, commercially or without charge.
This intellectual-property license is intended to be perpetual and irrevocable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Its exercise is subject to applicable law and the separately disclosed privacy purposes and permissions. It does not authorize prohibited sales, unlawful processing, or disregard of a legally required withdrawal or deletion request. You grant only rights you have; no exclusive ownership of facts or of another person's information is created by these terms.
No payment or promised use
Contributions are voluntary and unpaid. You receive no royalty, revenue share or ownership in a product or model solely because your contribution was used. We do not promise to use, preserve or individually credit a contribution, except where legally required.
Retention and privacy rights
There is no fixed voluntary expiry date for submitted contributions. We may retain them indefinitely for the disclosed purposes where lawful. Mandatory retention limits, deletion duties and other applicable rights take priority.
The intellectual-property license is separate from privacy consent. Except where required by law, these terms do not provide a contractual right to demand deletion or recall of a contribution. Nothing here waives legally required withdrawal, access, correction, deletion, objection, appeal or other rights. The Contribution Privacy Notice explains the information processed, uses, recipients and how to make a request. Turning sharing off prevents future submissions; it does not itself delete an earlier contribution.
Separate software terms
These terms govern submitted contributions. They do not change the RadarStudio software license or its software resale restrictions. Existing third-party licenses and legally required notices continue to apply.
Changes
Each submission records the terms and privacy versions presented for that submission. A later terms update does not itself expand the rights or processing permissions previously granted. Any additional permission required by law will be obtained before the affected use.
